作品介绍/Program Notes:
It was invented by anonymous people thousands of years ago.
Practised by amateurs for fun, performed by acrobatics for a living,
From exercising amongst folks to serving the emperor at the royal palace.
It was reintroduced as the earliest sound art from China in 2016.
Rotating makes "Sound" in terms of Public Arts;
Rotating makes "Tone" in the ears of musicians.
Rotating also makes "Music", turning it into an aerophonic instrument.
It could be easier than a toy,
It could be harder than a piano.
It was made in China, then spread through the Silk Road.
Nowadays, when East meets West;
Is when the Air Bamboo meets...the sound-based realm.
