About the Piece
“In this 作品 I started off by having a calm beginning that gets broken by bells and then it turns into loads of duplicated 声音 The end is the beginning backwards to show that everything is mended in the end ”
This 作品 was 创作 in a short 系列 of sessions using 作曲 with 声音 软件 Starting with a 过程 of auditioning all the 声音 in the “Kitchen” collection Leshaun selected mostly ones with significant 音高 content The resulting 作品 makes much 使用 of duplication as well as 变形 by 转换 to 创作 a 作品 which has a kind of asymmetrical 节奏 character Towards the end Leshaun and Duncan Chapman also thought about how it might make a great soundtrack to an 动画 音序 or even a 舞蹈 表演
About the Composer
Leshaun Blake-Rodrigues is 15 and has recently moved from London to Nottingham where she is a student at Trinity School She is currently 研究 for GCSE’s as well as being an enthusiastic violinist playing in 几个 ensembles Beautiful Things… is her first 作品 创作 using collected 声音 and made using the CWS 软件
