About the Piece

… but the kitchen sink was 创作 using the new 软件 作曲 With 声音 In 制作 this 作品 I set myself the 限制 of 作曲 something only using the most 基础 电平/级别 of 变形 available to try and find out what the 可能性 of the new 软件 were All the 声音 in the 作品 are the same ones that Leshaun from Trinity School in Nottingham has been using to 创作 her 作品 and they were 录制 by Andrew Hill with the 目的 of being a set of “interior sounds” as a 补充 to his set of “exterior sounds”

…but the kitchen sink opens with all of these played together in a chaotic “domestic explosion” fashion which gives way to episodes of calmer 音乐 revealing the hidden 声音 of everyday 对象 and culinary 过程 Everything comes from the kitchen and eventually returns to it in the 形（曲）式 of a 声音 soup bubbling away quietly on the stove
